Sleigh bells ring every winter, and the bitcoin network chimes in with a fresh block about every ten minutes. This Christmas tee rolls the two into one cheerful pun.
Jingle Bells was written by James Lord Pierpont and published in 1857 under the title One Horse Open Sleigh, and it has long been free for anyone to sing or remix. Bitcoin keeps a rhythm of its own: the network aims for a new block about every ten minutes, so roughly 144 blocks join the chain on a typical day, Christmas included. Swap bells for blocks and the chorus practically sings itself, with the steady jingle of a chain that never takes a holiday.
Bring it to the ugly sweater party when you would rather skip the sweater, or wear it while the family hums carols in the kitchen. The bell and bow look festive from across the room, and the pun clicks for anyone who has ever heard the word blockchain.
As early as you can. We don't publish a cutoff or promise delivery dates. Most orders are printed and shipped within 3 to 4 business days, then reach continental US addresses in about 5 days, while Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US territories need about 2 weeks.
It is a friendly pun on the title. The song dates to 1857 and is in the public domain, and the shirt prints only two words, no lyrics. Bells became blocks because that is what the bitcoin network adds, one after another, all year round.
A jingle bell, the round kind with a slot that rattles on a sleigh harness, is the exact bell from the song. It also looks nothing like a tall church bell, so the drawing reads as Christmas right away, especially with the little ribbon bow on top.
