The story
Behind the Aged Like Bitcoin tee
Aged like fine wine is the classic birthday compliment, and bitcoiners have their own version. This tee says the birthday person only gets better as the years stack up.
People say something aged like fine wine when it improved with time, and aged like milk when it turned sour. Bitcoiners borrowed the first meaning. Bitcoin has a birthday of its own on January 3, the day in 2009 when its first block was mined, and on January 3, 2027 the network turns 18. It has kept adding blocks through every year since, which bitcoiners call aging well. On this shirt the compliment goes to the birthday guest: wiser, steadier and better with every candle.
